Climate justice represents a critical imperative for higher education institutions globally. In Liberia, a nation experiencing acute climate vulnerabilities, including coastal erosion, increased flooding, and agricultural disruption, this integration is not merely an academic exercise but a fundamental component of national resilience and equitable development. The purpose of this research is to investigate strategic pathways for embedding principles of climate justice into the core curricula of Liberian universities, with the ultimate aim of informing the development of mandatory graduation requirements. Employing a qualitative descriptive case study design, the methodology involves a thematic analysis of national education policy documents, a review of existing university curricular frameworks, and semi-structured interviews with faculty and administrators from a purposive sample of Liberian higher education institutions. A comparative analysis of international models provides a framework for contextual adaptation. Findings reveal that climate justice content is currently sporadic and siloed primarily within environmental science programs, lacking interdisciplinary infusion. Key stakeholders identified experiential, community-based learning as a vital pedagogical tool and underscored the demand for climate-related competencies in the national job market. The study concludes that a systematic, institution-wide integration of climate justice, through revised curricula, innovative pedagogy, and mandatory graduation requirements, is essential to empower graduates as proactive agents of sustainable and just societal change in Liberia.
