On-the-Job Training (OJT) serves as an important experiential learning component in basic education, yet its influence on the development of foundational work values during junior high school remains underexplored. Although prior studies highlight the value of OJT in strengthening students’ preparedness and professional growth (Pujianto & Arief, 2017; Rosyadi et al., 2022), minimal empirical evidence examines how OJT experiences in Grade 10 (junior high) shape students’ later work values in Grade 11 (senior high). This study addresses this gap by assessing the relationship between OJT feedback and mentorship and the current work values of Grade 11 students. Using a quantitative-descriptive design, the study surveyed 98 students who completed the Grade 10 OJT requirement. Validated Likert-scale instruments measured perceptions of feedback and mentoring along with present work values. Descriptive results indicated high ratings for feedback and mentoring (M = 4.343) and very high ratings for work values (M = 4.7471). Pearson’s correlation revealed a significant moderate relationship (r = 0.368, p < .001), suggesting that effective mentoring during junior high OJT contributes to cultivating responsibility, professionalism, and openness to improvement. The study concludes that junior high OJT plays a meaningful role in shaping emerging work values and recommends encouraging supervisors to strengthen mentorship practices through consistent guidance and timely feedback. These findings offer insights relevant to enhancing OJT programs and fostering positive work values at earlier stages of schooling.
