The Business Administration program at the State University of Londrina, Londrina, Paraná, Brazil, underwent a process of reformulation of its pedagogical framework and implemented a new curriculum in 2023. Among the most significant changes is the creation of a practical discipline entitled Management Workshop. The general objective of this article is to report the experience of proposing, developing, and implementing this discipline, highlighting the learning theories adopted, the realities of the participating organizations involved, and the outcomes of the experience for students and professors. The theoretical–methodological foundations underpinning the discipline are David Kolb’s Learning Cycle and Otto Scharmer’s Theory U. Kolb’s experiential learning cycle (1984, 2014) and Scharmer’s Theory U (2009), when integrated, enrich the learning process of students at different levels. Both theories emphasize the importance of experience, reflection, and action in the development of essential competencies and skills for future professionals. The report adopts a qualitative–descriptive approach and elucidates the methodological and applied aspects of the development and implementation of the discipline. The execution of first edition of Management Workshop involved a diagnostic analysis of the theme “Intergenerational conflicts at work” in two municipal public-sector organizations in Londrina, using data collection and analysis methods of both qualitative and quantitative nature. Consultancy tools were also employed, such as SWOT matrix analysis and the elaboration of action plans following the 5W2H method. Altogether, three first-year classes of the program proposed 15 improvement plans for the participating organizations.
