Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) strategies are changing the way students learn and we teachers teach. By integrating the flipped classroom model with artificial intelligence (AI), learning becomes more engaging, personalized, and effective. In the flipped classroom, students access lectures and resources online before class, freeing classroom time for active discussions, problem-solving, and collaboration. AI adds another layer by tailoring content to individual needs, offering real-time feedback, and guiding learners through adaptive pathways.
I have developed and applied these techniques in my modules (have published some of this work) to create dynamic learning environments where students take ownership of their learning while still benefiting from teacher support. In this study, I have highlighted how we teachers may and should integrate diverse pedagogical strategies to make classrooms more interactive and responsive, ensuring that every learner progresses at their own pace, with appropriate and timely feedback from instructors.
The results of my intervention in the classroom indicate that students feel more motivated, retain knowledge better, and perform at higher levels. We as teachers also gain valuable insights into student progress, making instruction more targeted and efficient. In my opinion Institutions adopting these methods may see reduced dropout rates and improved scalability of quality education. My initiatives demonstrate that when flipped learning is used in conjunction with AI, they have a synergistic effect on student learning and thus education moves beyond traditional boundaries, becoming more personalized, collaborative, and future ready.
